Karlo Hecimovic’s work is shaped by a long-standing interest in inner worlds, symbolism, and the unseen. From an early age, he kept dream journals and explored lucid dreaming — experiences that formed a lasting sensitivity to memory, perception, and the subtle layers beneath the visible.

At eighteen, Karlo left his home in Croatia and began traveling across Europe, eventually establishing himself as a fashion photographer. Collaborating with international magazines, models, and brands refined his visual language and deepened his understanding of form, composition, and storytelling. Yet alongside the surface beauty of fashion, he felt drawn toward a slower, more intentional form of creation — one rooted in meaning rather than image alone.

That impulse became the foundation of Kalyss. Conceived as a space where art, material, and intention meet, the brand reflects Karlo’s belief that jewelry can function as more than adornment. Each piece is approached as a personal object — a modern relic that connects ancient materials with contemporary form, and the wearer with their own sense of presence.

Through Kalyss, Karlo creates objects that invite reflection, individuality, and quiet transformation — leaving space for each wearer to define what the piece becomes.
